Roland's new FD-9 hi-hat control pedal is for anyone who's ever had complaints that the noise of the pedals on their electronic drum kit are just too noisy. Compared to the FD-8, the FD-9 reduces noise by 50% in the same room and by 15% to rooms below. Roland have taken care to ensure that the pedal responds naturally thanks to a patent-pending link mechanism that also delivers smooth transitions between open, half-open and closed positions. Sensitivity can be adjusted by using the spring.

The pedal's design is very compact which makes it easy to incorporate into your setup. With adjustable feet and a toe stopper, stability and comfort are assured when playing. The FD-9 can be used with the modules from the V drum series provided they are equipped with 1/4-inch trigger inputs. It can also be used in combination with all of Roland's electronic percussion products.
